About Patrick …
If you’re struggling with relationships, work, emotions, or just existing in the world, you’re not alone. If you want to change, our work together can help you find a path forward.
I work with individuals, couples, and polycules in the LGBTQIA+ and gender-expansive communities and beyond. Some of the issues I help clients with include anxiety, identity, sex and sexuality, consensual non-monogamy, polyamory, kink, aging, substance use and recovery, relationship challenges, and work stress.
My approach is relational and person-centered, which means I believe you have the capacity to find resolutions inside yourself, and my role is to support you as we explore together. It also means that my approach will be specific to you and will vary depending on what you want to work on.
I encourage you to use your time in therapy to share what you think might be unshareable. Therapy provides a space to connect with another person about what’s going on without fear of judgment or being “wrong.” No matter who you are and what you’re going through, all parts of you are welcome.
Outside the therapy room I have experience working with LGBTQIA+ seniors in support groups at Openhouse and with queer folks in recovery at the Castro Country Club. I’m also a founding member of the AIDS/LifeCycle team The San Francisco Baes, fundraising, educating, and ending stigma in support of the San Francisco AIDS Foundation.
I’m originally from the east coast and grew up in Staten Island and Brooklyn, NY. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in graphic design from American University in Washington, DC, and a Master of Arts degree in integral counseling psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies.
Before becoming a psychotherapist I worked for decades as a designer, art director, and creative director in creative agencies and multinational corporations across the fields of entertainment, finance, marketing, media, publishing, and technology.
