About Charlie …
Hello! I’m Charlie Smith, a marriage and family therapist and mental health counselor dedicated to supporting adults with significant life transitions—like marriage, parenthood, ethical non-monogamy/polyamory, and other challenges. Becoming a therapist was inspired by a deep desire to help people cultivate a strong, authentic sense of self. I believe that knowing who you are is essential not just for individual well-being, but for healthy relationships and thriving communities.
Everyone is unique and so how I provide therapy is different for everyone, but in general my approach is compassionate, relational and engaged client-centered talk therapy. With a warm and direct approach, I create a space where you can feel safe and understood, where we can have open conversations about your experiences, struggles, and goals. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, substance use, or exploring the complexities of consensual non-monogamy, whatever the concerns are, my goal is to empower you to reclaim your identity and find balance.
