About Franklyn …

Safety and belonging are basic human needs. However, at times you may encounter obstacles that make the world feel unsafe and unwelcoming. Or you may find yourself in circumstances that make you feel uneasy. In such situations, therapy can be a great way to help you feel better.

Choosing a new therapist can feel confusing and scary. I recognize the effort it takes to make the decision to meet with a new therapist, especially if you’ve never been to therapy. To me, vulnerability is a delicate gift, and I am committed to treating my clients with respect and care. My practice is open to all individuals who seek help and want to feel better, regardless of your role in life, upbringing, or current circumstances. I recognize that individuals may have multiple roles and identities which may lead them to expect that therapists can only work with or understand a part of themselves. Personally, I identify as a gay, Palestinian American, cisgender man.

As a therapist, I work to create an environment where clients can bring all their parts into therapy. My goal is to join you in pursuing your individual goals and to support you in healing and growing. My approach is humanistic, trauma-informed, and strength-based. Although integrative in practice, I draw primarily from relational psychodynamic theories, which can help you understand and transform the thinking and perspectives that make you feel stuck. I support people with a variety of life challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, cultural integration, family relationships, family therapy, life transitions, and personal growth and insight.
