But I’m not deaf—how would I work with Greg? If we use an interpreter, what about confidentiality?
See the video below for information about what to expect if you’re hearing and work with a deaf therapist:
Greg identifies as Deaf, white, and gay man, and uses American Sign Language as his primary language. He welcomes hearing clients and provides a certified online ASL interpret to facilitate communication. During in-person sessions, Greg’s interpreter is not in the room and can only see Greg, to ensure the client’s privacy.
Greg is a thoughtful, intuitive, and nature-grounded person. He enjoys cooking, baking, walking, needlepointing, knitting, tending indoor/outdoor plants, reading books, and signing to songs. Greg obtained his MA in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies.
