Services in Pennsylvania

Hi, my name is Stefan and I’m a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor and National Board-Certified Counselor. My work is guided by a simple aim: to invite a little more beauty, justice, and compassion into the world – one conversation at a time. I see each client as a unique whole being with innate strengths and dignity rather than a list of problems, and I show up with genuine curiosity, authenticity, and a collaborative spirit.

Rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), our sessions will help you clarify what truly matters to you and translate those values into everyday action, all leading to a life filled with vitality, meaning, and purpose. I integrate ACT with Internal Family Systems parts work, EMDR for trauma healing, and the Gottman Method for couples/relationships work. I enjoy weaving in mindfulness, visualization, and gentle somatic practices to keep the process experiential and alive in the present moment. Together, we’ll build your skills in self-awareness, boundary-setting, communication, self-compassion, and resilience, so you can respond more flexibly to stress, heal from past wounds, and navigate life’s transitions with confidence.

As a queer clinician, I’m passionate about creating a liberation-centered space for LGBTQ+ individuals and couples/relationships, encouraging expression, empowerment, and choice. I am particularly drawn to helping queer folks untangle religious shame and reclaim a spirituality that feels expansive and affirming. In couples and relationship work, I help partners strengthen friendship, manage conflict, deepen fondness and admiration, and create shared meaning that sustains the relationship(s) over time.

In terms of qualifications, I have over seven years of experience supporting adults, teens, and families. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a social work case manager and housing program manager for families experiencing homelessness in San Francisco, volunteered as a group facilitator for LGBTQ+ folks navigating sex and sobriety, and practiced counseling at a community mental health clinic. Back in the day, I was a summer camp counselor and tennis instructor, so a sense of playfulness still finds its way into therapy when it’s helpful.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading sci-fi, fantasy, and memoirs, going on bike rides and hikes, dancing, baking, and watching reality shows with my partner. I am a twin to a wonderful sister, a proud uncle, and an unabashed ice-cream enthusiast.
